We offer a range of cylinder head skimming and repairs throughout Surrey.
Cylinder head skimming is a way of refacing the mating surface of the head. The method we use is sometimes called fly cutting, which involves mounting the cylinder head on a milling machine which has a fixed head and a movable table. We use a bespoke fly cutter specifically made for our machine. This is probably the most accurate way to resurface a head.
Welding is also available for badly corroded heads. We can also remove broken studs.
Fly cutting is available for aluminium and cast iron/steel heads, for car, motorbike and boat engines.
A basic cylinder head skim on a 4-cylinder head is £40 + Vat. We also offer a mail order service should you not be local to us in South Godstone.
